South Rampart
Street Parade
(R.Baudac, S.Aleen, Bhaggart; 1939)
One day Haggart
was joking around with pianist Bob Zurke (both were members of Bob
Crosby's band). Haggart was showing Zurke a tripping act he had learned,
unfortunately, it landed Zurke on the ground with a broken leg!
In 1968 Haggart
founded the "World's Greatest Jazz Band".
Allen began
playing piano at age 7 and by age 10 was performing for silent films.
Baudac learned
to play drums from his brother.
In 1937 Bauduc
devised one of the earliest drumming methods, called "Dixieland
Drumming".
